Practical notes

Know the tasting details before you book.

  • Tastings take place at Season Quayside in Leith, Edinburgh, giving you time to enjoy the food in the Seasons venue setting.
  • Tastings are currently listed at £160 per couple, with free-tasting conditions depending on guest numbers, booking terms and current offers.
  • Drinks are handled separately from the tasting fee and can be confirmed when you enquire.
What happens during a tasting?

A manager will meet you on arrival and look after you throughout. You will have a chance to enjoy canapes and a three-course meal as shown on your quotation, then talk through updates afterwards.

How long does a tasting take?

Your tasting is planned around a two-hour period with a private chef and waiter, including the meal and a follow-up conversation about any changes.

Can the tasting be free?

Free tastings are available for new bookings from 2026 onwards, subject to the booking terms. For parties over 50 guests, the tasting may be free if you book with Season by deposit as set out in your quotation.

Do we need to decide on the day?

No. You can pay for the tasting on the day and take up to seven days to decide. If you then book with Season, the £160 tasting charge is deducted from your overall wedding cost.

How do we book a tasting?

Share your choice of menu and wedding details through the enquiry form. The team will check availability and send a summary of costs in an official quotation.

Can we discuss bespoke menus?

Yes. If you have bespoke menu ideas, share them with the team when you enquire so they can guide you around options, quotation details and tasting suitability.
